COMMUNITY = đź’°

While the cliche “selling” point of a crypto project is community, the majority of projects rarely know what that means. They are just regurgitating a word they have heard other projects use over and over - akin to a broken record.

A community can be defined as a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.

While 99% of the crypto space brushes over the core value of this, we can point to projects where the community made the project’s tokens or JPEGs insanely overvalued - thus, benefitting those members that joined said communities …early.

Doge - While everyone is aware that Elon’s love for Doge helps its value tremendously, Doge didn’t always have the Elon Midas support that it has now.

Created as a joke by two IBM devs, the community of Reddit catapulted the exposure (and value) of the meme chain. If it were not for that original user base supporting the idea of Doge, it would have never achieved “Elon fanboy” status. Thus, Doge value stems solely from the work of the community.

Pepe - The meme coin that took X (Twitter) by storm was 100% community-driven. The holders of the token continuously Tweeting, meme’ing and engaging about Pepe token sent it to Valhalla. While the token has zero purpose or functionality, the power of community was able to send it to unimaginable levels.

Shiba Inu - The other dog coin. Starting as a meme and developing into a little bit more, the community support of Shiba has made it what it is today.

Milady - The anarchists of crypto have nailed their community roles to a level of precision that has yet to be duplicated. While most projects use “community” as a selling point, Milady’s only focus was on community, and it has paid off in droves.

Why does this matter?
While we mean no disrespect to any of the above projects, being a part of a community and contributing has proven to pay off very well (see above). If these projects really didn’t provide any ground-breaking tech or development, it is fair to say that their value stems from community and community alone.

While tech can be difficult to replicate, assembling a group of people with common interest is not.
